OUR TEAM CONNECTS FIRE DEPARTMENTS WITH THEIR JURISDICTION
In early 2020, I was operating on a search crew of a mid-rise multi-residential fire. The first arriving crews had a bedroom off on the 3rd floor with reported entrapment, having to utilize a malfunctioning dry standpipe system in an end stairwell. Additionally, multiple reports or entrapment in apartments and residents stuck in stairwells came flooding into command. These residents had to be located quickly due to the severe smoke condition.
In the weeks after the incident, 14 area departments were invited to review the incident and I was tasked by the fire chief to obtain floor plans for the building for the review. In the process of obtaining plans, I asked myself why we didn't have the floor plans before the fire to review and understand the layout of the building, as well as its fire protection features and the location of apartments.
Since early 2020, we have obtained, formatted, and organized floor plans for over 35 million square feet of commercial pre-plans for the fire departments that protect those properties. Each one of our partnered departments provides valuable insight into the innovation of pre-planning through meetings and classroom training.

Nicholas A. Irhin

Nicholas A. Irhin
Nick has been a firefighter for 10 years across 3 different states, starting his fire service career in 2013 in North Jersey at his hometown fire department. After graduating high school, he attended and graduated from the University of Akron's Emergency Management and Homeland Security program. During that time, he was a member of a progressive fire company in the north hills in Pittsburgh, PA, and worked with the University Police Department.
Nick is currently a Firefighter/EMT for the Claymont Fire Company in New Castle County, DE, and is also a member of the DE Task Force 1 Urban Search and Rescue team.
Nick graduated from the University of Akron in 2019 with:
- Emergency Management and Homeland Security (B.S.)
- Fire Protection Technology (A.A.S.)
- Geographic Land Information Systems (Certificate)
Anthony D. Calabrese
Anthony has been a Firefighter/EMT for 5 years in both New Jersey and North Carolina. His fire service career started in October of 2016 in North Jersey where he worked with the Morris County Office of Emergency Management in their Logistics Field.
Anthony attended the High Point University Criminal Justice Program where he co-founded High Point University Emergency Medical Services. After graduating, Anthony continued his fire service career before starting a career in law enforcement.
Anthony graduated from High Point University in 2019 with:
- Criminal Justice (B.A.)
- Minor in Psychology
- Minor in Business Administration
Anthony began his law enforcement career in 2023 as a patrol officer. Anthony is currently in the process of completing his Master’s Degree in Homeland Security and Disaster Management.
Adam P. Golden
Adam started his career as a Firefighter/EMT 4 years ago in New Castle County, Delaware. He graduated from the Delaware State Fire Academy in 2020 at the age of 43 and his EMT in 2022. Adam also has an extensive background in business management, owning and operating a family business for nearly 20 years.
